Formwork is an independent design studio founded by Barbara Virginia Tedeschi (IT) and César Bourgeois (FR), working across visual communication, art direction, and spatial thinking.
We guide projects through their formation. We are drawn to ideas in the making — unstable, unfinished, and full of potential. We work to develop solid foundations, building structures designed to hold and evolve over time. Alongside client work, Formwork operates as a Lab. A space for independent exploration, where ideas can exist outside of immediate application. These experiments generate friction, producing noise that feeds back into commissioned projects.

Custom logotype for Under, a textile brand making linen, towels and base layers — pieces meant to be worn or lived in close to the skin, carrying the feeling of home even away from it. The logotype works in the space between standard and human: familiar typefaces such as Times and Arial are redrawn with deliberate errors, glitches and irregularities. Rather than flaws to be corrected, these imperfections become the mark of the brand, a way of giving warmth and humanity back to the most neutral of letterforms.
